Each event entry will tell you all the details you need to know for an activity, but here are some added tips.
For ALL outdoor events, make sure you bring warm clothes, waterproofs and wear walking boots or sturdy footwear, as the weather can be unpredictable and the ground will often be uneven. If you need to wear wellies, this will be advised. For longer walks and hikes it is essential that you are well equipped for hill-walking.
You may need to bring a packed lunch. If so, this will be stated in the event entry.
If it is essential to book, contact details are given with the event. Otherwise, just turn up.
If there is no cost written, the event is FREE!
Dogs are NOT allowed, unless stated in the event description.
Some events indicate that they are suitable for people with restricted mobility. The facilities available and the level of accessibility of pathways may differ between organisations. Therefore, in all cases, we recommend that you phone the organisers of the event.
Anyone aged 18 years or over.
All walks are graded as; Easy, Moderate, Long or Strenuous depending upon distance and ascent/descent.
